Nepean Detox Talks
After a 6 year hiatus we are thrilled to announce Alcoholics Anonymous have been invited to carry the message at the Nepean Detox through two regular weekly sessions and we are calling on AA Members to join two rosters.
Wednesday 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm – AA Speaker Treatment Talk
Typical Treatment talk where 2 (two) AA members share personal experience, strength and hope with patients.
Friday 11 am to 12 pm – Ward Talk
A visit onto the detox ward where 2 (two) AA members meet patients introductions by Detox Staff. Having a cup of tea with patients, sharing your own story or listening to theirs, providing newcomer packs and mentioning visits to Wednesday night for AA member talk.
This is a chance to share YOUR experience, strength, and hope with those beginning their journey. Whether you’ve shared on other rosters or are looking to get involved for the first time, your presence can make a real difference and we would love you to be a part of this!
